How To Contribute To Your SMSF
Your SMSF needs to have a bank account into which you can make your personal or employer contributions. Similarly, if you are an employee, your employer can make contributions into this same account.
Depending on the features offered by your fund’s bank account, you or your employer (if you are employed) can generally make contributions into the fund by depositing money in a number of ways such as BPay, direct transfer, cheques etc.
However, in some cases, you can also make non-cash contributions to an SMSF by transferring certain assets into the fund.
